Can I number only some pages?
Yes. Select the pages to update, then set the starting number and display format. The new text is placed over the existing page.

How to use Add Page Numbers
Choose a PDF and select the pages to number.
Set the starting number, format, size and position.
Save the numbered PDF and check that numbers do not cover important content.
Number selected pages
Page numbers are added as text over the existing page. Choose a plain number, a “Page N” label or a current-page/total format, and position it at a corner or center. Existing content is not shifted to make room.
Processing and limits
Processing stays in your browser. PDFs can be up to 100 MB and 2,000 pages. Check pages with content near the selected number position.
