A practical guide

How to use Word to PDF

  1. Choose a DOCX document up to 25 MB.

  2. PDF64 converts the document to PDF.

  3. Download the PDF and check important formatting such as fonts and page breaks.

What gets converted?

Word to PDF accepts DOCX documents and converts them into PDF pages. Text, tables, images, headers and footers are handled by the document converter when supported.

What may look different?

PDF64 uses LibreOffice to render Word documents. If a font is unavailable it may be substituted, and complex layouts or floating elements can appear differently from Microsoft Word. Review the PDF before sharing or printing it.

Limits and processing

DOCX files can be up to 25 MB. Generated PDFs are limited to 25 MB and 500 pages. The document is temporarily uploaded for server processing; the input is removed after processing and the resulting PDF remains available temporarily for download until expiry.

Frequently asked questions

Which Word files are supported?

Will the PDF look exactly like Microsoft Word?

Not always. Font availability and complex document layouts can cause differences, so review the converted PDF.

Is my document processed in my browser?

No. Word to PDF uses temporary server processing.
